Our Pastor

About our Pastor
Rev. Dr. Norma Lynn Felts, a native of Walterboro, South Carolina, is the daughter of the late Rev. Clarence R. Brown and the late Eloise Brown. She is both a dedicated servant of God and a committed leader in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from Wright State University, demonstrating both intellectual rigor and a passion for service. Responding to God’s call to ministry, she pursued theological training at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio, where she received her Master of Divinity degree. In 2022, she further deepened her ministry formation by completing the Doctor of Ministry degree at Payne Theological Seminary.

Ordained an Elder in the A.M.E. Church in 2008, Rev. Dr. Felts has faithfully served congregations with vision, compassion, and a Christ-centered commitment. She pastored Christ Our Redeemer A.M.E. Church in Dayton, Ohio, beginning in 2009, then Brown Chapel A.M.E. Church in Cincinnati in 2016. She now serves with joy as pastor of Lee Chapel A.M.E. Church in Cincinnati, where she continues to lead with wisdom, love, and integrity.

Her ministry extends beyond the pulpit. In 2019, she made history as the first woman elected Treasurer of the Ohio-South Ohio Annual Conference. She also serves as Dean of the Board of Examiners and as a Conference Trustee, shaping the next generation of clergy and contributing to the vitality of the A.M.E. Church.

Rev. Dr. Felts is the proud mother of one son, and she treasures her role as both parent and pastor. Her life and ministry are grounded in her guiding scripture:
“Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them.” — Proverbs 3:27
